Next time you happen to be in Suffolk, also check out The Red Lion pub in Great Bircett. It's the region's only vegetarian pub, and a lot of the food is also vegan. It is amazing. I return from London to go there every year for birthday, with my meat eating family and boyfriend, and they enjoy it just as much as I do. Highly recommended! Never been to this one in Woodbridge, but it's not far from where my folks live, so I'll have to check it out!

Pretty clever use of the (v). It is something familiar to veg*ns since we look for it on menus sometimes... but it's inconspicuous enough that your regular omnivorous diner could happen upon the restaurant and go inside without realising. Anyway, the food looks divine! (P.S. I am totally with you on the asparagus thing.)

Ooh, I'm going to have to keep this in mind next time I'm in Suffolk. I find that in most vegan/veggie restaurants in England, most of the patrons aren't vegan or veggie themselves... just people with a fond appreciation for vegetables "something different". I like that. I also like the (v).

Whether or not a place is Vegan in England does not influence the names. Those places have a lot of similiar names and so you have to be very careful about confirming which place you are going because while England is superb on vegetarian faire offerings, they are not always Vegan. I loved this posting; the food looks so yummy. Wish I was back in England. :0(
