@Laloofah - Thanks for checking out our blog. That's amazing that you want to go back and read all of the posts :) South America really is amazing. Each country is so different, and so is their food. Before going, I really couldn't find a lot of information about vegan food options. I'm so happy to report there's lots of great vegan food to be found :)

Jill, I'm having such fun exploring your blog (though I've barely made a dent so far)! I love the concept of the comedor! It reminds me a little bit of some of the "sodas" I ate at in Costa Rica, the little family-run roadside food stands with a small communal dining area and cheap, abundant, local fresh food - vegan or easily made so. The Tarabuco Market comedor looks like a great place to people-watch (one of my favorite past-times!) :-) And the soup at the Comedor Vegetariano in Cusco looks especially delicious! It's a shame your decision to try somewhere eating elsewhere wasn't rewarded with equally good fare. I'd have scurried back to Comedor Vegetariano, too! :-)

How fun you got to rent an apartment, and from a vegetarian family, no less!

You're visiting places I've only seen on TV or read about (if I've even heard of them at all!), so I'm really enjoying your blog, and vicariously experiencing these places through fellow vegan eyes. I hope to read all your South American posts before you're on to the next adventure! Safe travels!
